- I finished the first quarter of my second year at FIDM.
- Watched two amazing friends graduate at the Staples Center.
- Flew back home.
- Got another haircut.
- Celebrated the 4th of July.
- Celebrated my one year anniversary of living in LA.
- Did an insane photoshoot.
- Then flew back to LA.
Coming back and forth between Los Angeles and Brownsville a total of 5 times in the last year has really got me thinking of 'Home'.
When I'm talking to friends here in LA, I'd say 'back home' meaning Brownsville.
But when I'm in Brownsville talking about LA, I'd say 'back home' meaning LA.
The first couple of times I flew back to Texas, in September, and for Thanksgiving, I could not WAIT to hop off the plane at LAX. (see what I did there?)
But recently, in April and this past visit in June/July, it has gotten increasingly hard to come back to LA, and leave behind my family. Not to mention fall sick with in the 48 hours after I arrived back to my apartment. not feeling good - mom + home alone = :'(
So to me, home is where ever I decide it to be. Home is my parents and my brother. Home is popping fireworks with some of the people I love the most. Home is on my best friends bed watching netflix. Home is my friends/adopted family in LA. Home is where I'm happy.
So here's a brief photo diary + some really exciting announcements!

Above is one of the shots from the photoshoot I did while I was back home. I've been modeling for Carla Goodner and Alejeandro Bastida since my sophomore year of high school. And this shoot is one of my favorites to date.

One of my best friends Zoe and I are creating a blog together! Entitled, With Love, our blog will be a lifestyle/fashion blog.
It hasn't launched yet, but the picture above is a promo I created!
Kick Up Your Heels, will be reserved for a personal blog, keeping all you folks back in Browntown, and where ever else you may be, in the loop :) (aka my mom and Mimi) (<3)
