Hello, there

Hello, internet.
This blog has been created to chronicle my life as a fashion student at FIDM Los Angeles.

Obviously, I don't really know what I'm doing at the moment, but believe me, I'll get this whole blog thing figured out soon.

I'll be posting updates as I go from my hometown of Brownsville, Tx to the big city of L.A., and pursue my dreams of working in the fashion industry. This is for all of you back at SJA, whom I love dearly, and whoever-else cares about me enough to follow my journey.

At the moment, I should be studying for finals, to round out my senior year with good grades and a good study ethic. Instead, I'm creating a blog, listening to the Great Gatsby soundtrack. Productive, no?

With graduation in ten days *internal screaming*, it's dawning on me just how fast this year has gone by. Hell- just how fast high-school has gone by. Someone asked me on Friday if I liked high-school. For such a common question, it took me by surprise. Did I like high-school? Not particularly. I'm thankful for all I've learned, sure. The friendships that grew and fell apart along the way. But I wouldn't do it again.

That got me thinking- High-school should be hellish. I feel sorry for all of those who peak during high-school- they've got nothing going for them after graduation. High-school is for learning from your mistakes- and you'll make tons of them. High-school is for insecurities blossoming into something beautiful. High-school is for learning that people can be absolutely terrible human-beings, but after you weed the garden, you can find some really amazing people.

Here are some of the amazing people I found in high-school.
