the one with 2013

Hey there everyone, with 2013 turning into 2014 in a matter of hours, I thought I'd share some of my favorite moments of 2013 with you.

This was a crazy and wonderful year that brought many many many changes and milestones. Let's take a look back:
My Senior Cotillion.
hair cut!
road trip to California to check out FIDM in February
Spring Break

Graduation

Off to Los Angeles
My amazing roommates

I turned 19

went to see One Direction

joined lookbook.nu
dyed my hair

saw The Wanted

made my way to Santa Monica

got my first internship

got to do some pretty amazing things because of that internship

worked on a secret project for FIDM Mode
went to Disneyland for the first time with some amazing people
and made my way home for the holidays

and had a very merry Christmas

For those of you who don't know, I write in a journal every night. I've kept it consistently for the past couple of years. The other night I found the journal that I wrote in this time last year and I read my entry from New Year's Eve- what I wrote exactly a year ago today.

I was filled with excitement for the coming year- graduation, LA, FIDM. I also wrote down a series of questions- Would I be happy? Would I be home? Would I have met celebrities? Would I keep in touch with people from high school? Would I have a boyfriend? (HAHA)

Even looking at pictures from this time last year- it amazed me how far I've come. 2013 was a year of lessons and blessings, and opportunities.

My New Year's Resolution is simple: to take my opportunities by the reigns and ride them off into the sunset with out looking back.

I've got a good feeling about 2014.

the one with the final projects

hey there everyone!
I'm officially done with my 2nd quarter at FIDM!

& I officially go back to Brownsville for Christmas tomorrow afternoon!
Here's a look at my Perspective Sketching Final. Its the final that I worked hardest on and I'm most proud of. I got an A+ on both my final and in the class!
 Enjoy!
These are elevation sketches of the living room we designed & drew in one and two point perspective.

here's the inked version of my one point perspective drawing. In order to do this- I used a drafting table and triangle. It took me a very long time.

The final colored one point perspective

the final colored two point perspective.

& here's a photo diary of my three weeks in LA between Thanksgiving and now!
& if you've already seen them on instagram, too bad- my grandma hasn't.

here's a picture I snapped on the plane flying into Los Angeles. the picture doesn't do it justice.

for my speech final- I was put into a group. it was a problem solving speech and we suggested the solution to bullying in school was to implement school uniforms. Of course- I can say that now as I am no longer in higschool and it was also just a speech. anyways, we dressed up a la gossip girl.
hope you enjoyed!
oh! & do you like my new header and side image?
made those on Adobe Illustrator- I guess computer rendering came in handy.

If I don't post between now and Christmas-
Merry Christmas!

lots of love- Hannah

the short one

I recently found this picture on tumblr during one of my homework breaks:
"When it rains it pours."
I have learned just how true that cliche is in these past couple of weeks.

Here's a little insight of my week:

Monday and Tuesday-
I intern at BPCM in West Hollywood. Usually (if I'm lucky) 9am-6pm, and I'm back in my apartment Downtown around 7:45 / 8.

Wednesday-
Homework day. Laundry Day. Cleaning Day.

Thursday-
Class from 8:30-5:45

Friday-
Class from 8:30-2:45

Saturday-
homework

Sunday-
homework.

And this week it's a little bit different.
It's Finals Week. AKA Hell Week.

See- finals at FIDM are a lot different than other colleges. Out of five classes, I only have one actual final exam that I can study for.
No, here at FIDM, I have final projects.

Now I know it may seem like I'm complaining, and well, I am.

But in all reality, I wouldn't trade this for the world.
I remember people warning me not to wish high school away, and I did it anyways.
I don't regret it in the slightest.

I love living in Los Angeles, I love my internship and I love FIDM- even through all the headaches they might cause me.

I'm chasing my dreams.
