the one with the front row

Hey there, everyone!
So today- our last full day in the city- we decided to try our luck, once again to get into a show.
We woke up early, grabbed some coffee at Starbucks, and took a bus to the Upper East Side. We then hailed a cab to cross Central Park and found ourselves once again at Lincoln Center. But this time, we were going to get in.

We walked up to the building that says Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and found our friend, Security Guy Dave. The same one we had spoken to on Saturday. He told us to come back around two- that there might be some chance that we could get into a show.

So, naturally, we found somewhere warm seeing as it was colder today than yesterday or Saturday. Then found a cute restaurant bakery called EuroPan for lunch. We sat and talked for a few hours until it was time to make it back to Lincoln Center. Dave let us in.

Obstacle One, check.

The second part was getting a ticket to pass through the doors into the 'Lounge'- a large room with promoters and such that connected the Pavilion and the Salon- the two rooms that hold shows.  After about an hour of waiting, and two new friends- we were able to get a Standing Ticket.

We saw Katya Leonovich's show in the the Pavilion- even with Standing Tickets, we sat front row. It was incredible.

After the show, we sat at a Bistro in the Lounge and ate Texas Style Chili. The Irony.

We then tried our luck at another show. Reem Acra. If you don't know, google it. Now.

We knew that the chances of getting Standing Ticket were slim to none. We were even considering just leaving. But, on a final attempt, we were able to get Standing Tickets.

But that's not even the best part of the story.

Carly Nicole and I, three girls from Los Angeles who, on a whim and some cheap flights, decided to go to New York City to maybe get into some shows.

We sat front row.

Normal people just don't get to do that. Like ever.
The lady asked Carly, "Would you mind filling these seats in the front row?"
To which Carly replied, "Sure!" Duhhhh

We then died.

Then, the show, entitled Midnight in Paris ( as if it wasn't perfect enough already )
started.

And one of my favorite models, Jac Jagaciak opened the show.
I loved the ENTIRE collection.
It was the best fifteen minutes of my life.

It made up for not getting into any shows on Saturday. It made up for the enormous and painful blister on my left heel. It made up for not feeling my toes and fingers for 89% of this trip.

When the show ended, I was on the verge of tears.

You don't understand. Sitting front row and New York Fashion Week for a Fall/Winter show doesn't just happen for any one.

& I did.

If I ever had any doubt about wanting to work in this industry. Or any doubt about wanting to pursue modeling, it has all vanished into thin air.

I'm so incredibly happy.

Now look at pictures:

this picture was an accident- but I loved the way it turned out

 & now, Reem Acra
mind you- I took all of these with my iPhone.

one day, I'll be walking that runway
